Dock is one of the characteristics that make the OS X Mac computer unique and different from other desktop OS. Even so, you may want to tamper with the dock to get a better view, as well as make it more organized.
The easiest way is laid out so that the dock is by adding a wider spacing between the app icons. Not hard to do because you only need a few simple command in Terminal.
1. Open Terminal
2. Type the following command and press Return:defaults write -array com.apple.dock persistent-apps-add '{tile-data = {}; tile-type = "spacer-tile";} '
3. Type the following command and press Return:killall Dock
With the above, the dock will disappear temporarily. But when he returned, you will see a blank space on the dock. Then you can drag the empty space to the location you want. If you want to add more than one space, you can repeat step #2 above as many times as you want, then go to step #3.
To eliminate the blank space that you create, simply right click on the space, click Remove from Dock. In addition it can also do drag in space out of the dock, hold, and release to throw it.
