Downgrade to iOS 8.1

Posted by AndroidIosMagz

Apple released iOS 8.1.1 a few days ago provides improved performance for the iPhone 4s and iPad 2. Unfortunately this update would bring bad news for the jailbreak community because of the patches that block the jailbreak iOS 8.0 - 8.1 via Pangu8 tool. So what if you already updated to iOS 8.1.1?

If you want to jailbreak iOS 8.1 but has iDevice running iOS 8.1.1 or iOS 8.2 beta then of course you have to downgrade to iOS 8.1. Jailbreak Apple should be done along the still open access to the iOS 8.1 firmware for Apple usually immediately shut down access when newer IOS releases become available.

1. Make sure that Apple is still open access to iOS 8.1.
2. Download iOS 8.1 firmware via the download page and save it on the desktop
3. Connect your iDevice to your computer, open iTunes. On the Mac, hold the Option key and click the Check for Updates button on the device page. Jjika using a Windows computer, you press and hold the Shift key while clicking Check for Update. Then open the desktop and select the iOS 8.1 firmware that you have downloaded, click Open.

4. iTunes will downgrade back to iOS 8.1 firmware. Again, this method can be successful if iOS 8.1 was opened by Apple (step # 1). If iOS 8.1 no longer be opened by Apple, you will receive an error message and the downgrade process will be stopped.

5. When the downgrade successfully done, you can directly use Pangu8 jailbreak jailbreak tool. Please see here to find tracks.
