Touch Sensor ID lets you unlock the device without using a passcode. The trick is to put your fingertips on the Home button. After terset then the next you can use Touch ID for the approval of purchase from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and use it for a variety of third-party applications.
Touch ID configuration can be done in the setup process the first time you turn on the new iPhone. But if at first you do not want to set it, you can do so at a later time.
Please follow these steps to set the Touch ID or add a fingerprint in the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.
- Open the Settings app, scroll down, tap on the "Touch ID and Passcode"
- Enter the passcode when prompted. If you have not set a passcode, then you will be prompted to set it as the passcode is still needed as an additional security validation.
- Tap the "Add a Fingerprint ..."
- Place the index finger or thumb you want to add on the Home button. Lift and place your finger repeatedly at the Home button. You will see an animated display prints in red color filled during the process of taking fingerprints running. Move your finger slowly when scanning process. Not more than 1 minute to perform this setup.
- Once all the red fingerprint animation, you will be told to continue the process by incorporating fingerprint side.
- Again, place your finger on the Home button, this time the side of your finger that will be scanned.
- After the whole animation fingerprint turn red, the iPhone will tell you that the Touch ID has been successfully set. This fingerprint can then be used to unlock iPhpone. Tap Continue.
