How to Restart the Menu Bar at the Mac

For Mac users, sometimes you might ever encounter any problems while operating it. One such issue is the possibility of the occurrence of frozen menu bar.

In many cases, frozen menu bar can you overcome by closing the application that caused the problem. However, in other situations, you need to restart the menu bar to restore function.


To overcome frozen you need to turn off the menu bar SystemUIServer because the menu bar is controlled by SystemUIserver. In other words, turn off SystemUIServer will automatically restart on the menu bar.


1. Open the Activity Monitor from / Applications / Utilities

2. While in the Memory tab, search SystemUIServer 
3. Highlight SystemUIServer process, click the X button in the upper left-hand corner, click Force Quit.

By the way at the top of the menu bar will immediately restart. You can also shut down shut down and restart the menu bar directly from the terminal, use the following ways:


1. Open Terminal 

2. Type: killall -KILL SystemUIServer and press Return on your keyboard
